At Bio-Origins we have a dream of making our home planet a safer place for our children.

Today, most of the disposable food and fresh produce packaging is made of plastics and Styrofoam. These materials are fit for purpose, but convenience also comes with a big price. Plastic and foam waste can cause irreversible harm to both humans and the nature.

We solve this problem differently.

Our Origins

Our company focuses on the simple idea of using organic waste as an alternative packaging material. We were inspired by everyday solutions used in developing countries, such as food served on banana leaves in India. We decided to extrapolate these ideas as solutions for the food and fresh produce industry.

Responsibly Created

Bio-Origins Inc. works with reputable academic and industrial research institutions to achieve the functionality of products desired by various market sectors. Each step of our product life cycle is safe and effective

1. Our material comes from a plentiful annually renewable resource.

2. It is converted into products in an energy-efficient process.

3. Used packaging is safe for the earth, 100% degradable without further energy input or processing.

Post-Harvest Material

We use straw and biomass- a 100% renewable resource made of the crushed fibers of wheat, rice and other plants that remains after being harvested for other agricultural uses.

We convert this material into a composite suitable for making disposable fresh produce packaging, which has the same functionality as plastic and Styrofoam packaging.

Zero Waste System

All our products are biodegradable and compostable, they do not clog up the landfill. Our products are just as practical as plastic, but it leaves behind as little waste as possible and goes back to nature.

Unique Technology

Bio-Origins has spent many years of research in designing and building a cellulose fiber preparation, processing and molding facility. We use our know-how to formulate material recipes that meet both product use performance and post use routing of the packaging material with minimal adverse effect on the environment.

Made by Nature

Bio-Origins products are made from completely HOME compostable waste materials. We do not use plastic or foam, which means

1. no landfill issues.

2. carbon efficient life cycle.

3. second use as biomass for fuel or recycled.

4. no trees are chopped in the processes.

Our partner company Valueform Ltd has a reputation of being an innovative SME in UK. Valueform has successfully completed collaborative research projects with academics and industry partners and has developed new technology and products for the international market in food and medical applications.
